Entrance Fees (Per Person) for Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage:

SAARC nationals: 50% off the foreign national rate

 

Foreign nationals: USD 18 per person

 

Children under 12 years enjoy a 50% discount on all entrance fees. SAARC nationals must present a valid passport to avail of the reduced rates.

Please note that these fees are subject to change, and it's advisable to carry sufficient cash in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) as credit or debit cards may not be accepted at all sites.

What are the opening and closing times of Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage?

Opening Time: 8:30 AM

Closing Time: 6:00 PM

The elephants typically bathe in the river from around 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and again from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, so it's a good idea to visit during these times to witness the activity.
